Berries - Great Things Really Do Come In Small Packages!

15.04.2015

Berries are absolutely fantastic little things. So versatile, juicy, delicious and convenient – and on top of that, they have so many health boosting properties because they are packed full with antioxidants. Each type of berry offers different health benefits due to the specific properties within them. Sprinkle them on top of some Greek yoghurt or porridge in the morning, as a delicious snack combined with a handful of nuts, or dropped onto a lunch of evening salad for a sweet juicy kick. Healthier eyes, skin, hair, immunity and improved sleep!

Brain boosting research:

Research published in the Annals of Neurology stated that women who ate 2 servings of strawberries or one serving of blueberries each week experienced less mental decline over time than those who didn’t. Those who consumed the highest amount of berries slowed down their cognitive decline by approximately 2 and a half years. Berries are packed with antioxidants called anthocyanidins – they have been shown to cross the blood brain barrier and locate in learning and memory centres in the brain.

So what aspects of your health need some improvement? Stock up on the following berries to enjoy a boost to your health starting from today!
