A. The daily recommended intake of fat is 20g for women and 30g for men. Indian foods are generally high in fat and Chinese foods high in sugar. It’s common to find a portion of Chinese takeaway containing the equivalent of 19 teaspoons of sugar.

The average calorie content of takeaways is high - 1,338 for Indian food and 1,436 for a similar-sized Chinese takeaway.

There are, on average, 23.6g of saturated fat in an Indian meal! Pizza is again high, with a thin crust pepperoni pizza containing 22.5g of saturated fats. 

A day’s worth of fat or sugar in just one meal shouldn’t be ignored.
