Seasonal Foods For August

Grocery shopping is already a pretty time consuming task, but not knowing what to buy when you get there can be overwhelming and pricey. However, purchasing seasonal foods is a healthy and cost effective way to approach food shopping. Grocery stores tend to stock up on seasonal items because they are plentiful, making them less expensive for you.

Recipes

It can be easy to become bored with water so zest it up and make it interesting.  During August apples are in season and often they are dead chat in the supermarkets, especially the locally grown ones.  Give this idea for a spin on water a go, you'll find it refreshing.  - Recipe Here

English Garden Soup

You could use just about anything in an English Garden Soup, anything goes.  It is a great way of using up any leftovers you may have lying around.  However, if you are a little more purist and prefer a recipe we have just the one here for you.  This contains french beans, another seasonal August veggie, enjoy.  - Recipe Here
